Craigellachie Seaside Studio is ideal for couples, walking, climbing, cycling, motor-biking, wildlife spotting, fishing, diving, eating, drinking and relaxing. It makes a perfect base to explore the fantastic scenery of Wester Ross, Torridon, Applecross, Plockton and Skye.
There is more walking and cycling in the area than you can shake a (walking!) stick at. And when you get hungry the fantastic Kishorn Seafood Bar is only 1 mile or if you fancy further afield the multi-award winning Applecross Inn is an adventurous 12 miles over the Bealach na Ba road (one of the highest and steepest roads in Britain). If you don't fancy the Applecross road then the brand new Bealach Cafe is safely on this side and is only 2 miles from the studio.
There are more amenities in Lochcarron (6 miles) including golf course, ATM, petrol station, post office, shops, bistro and hotel. And we're pretty sure you'll agree with us that it's one of the prettiest 6 miles to the shops in the country!
The majestic mountains of Torridon are 15 miles to the north (although there's no shortage of mountains all over Wester Ross) and sea birds, otters, seals, buzzards, deer, pine marten, eagles - both golden and sea - are all seen here very frequently.
The studio is perfect for touring the southern part of the North Coast 500 scenic route (we're right on the route).
There are artists' galleries and craft studios galore locally, along with boat trips from Shieldaig and Plockton - we will provide more details on all of the above and more in the chalet for your stay.
